In summer I have developed unique safety system for drones which prevents uncontrolled flyaway of drones. It’s alternate radio channel device which controls the power of drone and in case of emergency you press the button on separate RC, switch off props and release the parachute (any of current available on the market).

Maybe you will be interested in writing the some kind of interview or like that. I work in Russia now, but foreign drone pilots may be interested also.

Kind regards,
Eugene

(CUMMING, GA)— Today UAVExperts.aero, Atlantahobby.com and UAVGroundSchool.com announced that they had been invited to join and are now actively involved in the “Know Before You Fly” campaign. Cliff Whitney, President, recently said, “Since 1978 my companies have always promoted safe flight activities and I am excited to be involved with the core group including the AMA, AUVSI and the FAA. This will enlarge our efforts to train individuals in the proper use of UAV aircrafts”.

“Know Before You Fly” is an education campaign founded by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), and the Small UAV Coalition in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to educate users about the safe and responsible operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

Dave Mathewson, Executive Director of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) stated, “As excitement and enthusiasm continues to grow around UAV, UAS and Drones, and as the regulatory framework continues to take shape, more consumers are looking to buy UAS for personal use and more businesses are looking to use UAS as tools. These operators want to fly safely, but many don’t realize that, just because you can buy a UAS, doesn’t mean you can fly it anywhere, or for any purpose. Know Before You Fly provides prospective users with the information and guidance they need to fly safely and responsibly.”

UAV Experts.aero, AtlantaHobby.com, and UAV Groundschool.com have begun including information packets about the Know Before You Fly program into every box shipped. The companies online training program UAVGroundschool.com is expanding their curriculum to include the Know Before You Fly information, adding it to their in-depth FAA Test prep information.

Cliff Whitney added, “As a FAA Private Pilot I am very serious about safe flight. My company holds one of very few FAA 333 Exemptions for commercial UAV operations, and I was recently invited to beta test and provide feedback on the new FAA B4UFly mobile app for UAV operators. We are working hard to provide the necessary education for safe flight while the FAA is in the process of finalizing the new part 107 regulations, expected as early as spring 2016. It has been noted that up to 80 percent of the information required to pass the written test for the new UAV operator certificate will come direct from the current Private Pilot Ground School curriculum. Our online program, UAV Ground School, gives participants the knowledge to pass their operator written test and in passing the program they will also receive a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) endorsement. This will authorize them to sit for the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test at any testing center in the United States.”

As the FAA prepares to regulate and license commercial UAV operators, passing the FAA knowledge test will give participants an advantage when commercial UAV aircraft are integrated into the national airspace. Recreational users will also benefit from the knowledge and confidence gained upon successful completion of the UAV Ground School program.

The first course is about to go live in February. Let me know if you would be interested to hear more.
