Yeah, let’s ban DJI drones because they can send video of your beaches and people in bikini sunbathing to China. Meanwhile, because of US companies like Microsoft, choosing profits over security, the “China-linked hackers stole 60,000 US State Department emails”…”giving attackers access to sensitive government information, including data from the National Nuclear Security Administration and the National Institutes of Health” 🙄

I would say that policymakers should consider a phased implementation and invest in developing domestic alternatives to avoid compromising public safety missions.

I say. “If there’s a war with China, turn them off”. Otherwise, you’ll need to offer an alternative with better capabilities. I purchased my DJI drone because of the the insane capabilities the device offers. Somebody, dropped the ball. Someone decided to send our manufacturing overseas. Now as always. The common working person (US). We will have to absorb the costs of your ineptitude. So. If your legislation jeopardizes one life during an emergency First Responder situation. Let it be your own!
