BRINC, Skyfire partnership aims to improve emergency response times and operational efficiency for law enforcement and emergency services.
BRINC, a developer of public safety technology, has announced a new partnership with Skyfire Consulting, a firm specializing in drone solutions for security and public safety. The collaboration is set to refine and expand drone-as-first-responder (DFR) programs throughout the United States.
The initiative will support law enforcement and emergency response agencies by facilitating the acquisition of necessary FAA waivers and providing comprehensive equipment, software, and training. This partnership aims to decrease 911 response times and enhance the efficiency of call clearing.
Drone technology under this program has been reported to significantly reduce the time it takes for a drone to reach an incident scene — averaging less than 70 seconds. It also improves the rate at which calls are cleared, with drones handling 25% of such cases independently.
Blake Resnick, founder and CEO of BRINC, emphasized the benefits of integrating advanced technology in public safety operations. “As first responders seek to improve their day-to-day operations, having access to technology that both increases efficiency and officer safety will play a crucial role in their success,” said Resnick. “Our partnership with Skyfire is aimed at addressing this need, offering key support to agencies that will fast track the development of drone programs. We’re incredibly excited to work with Skyfire to make this a reality.”
Skyfire’s expertise in public safety unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and its nationwide support are expected to be instrumental in achieving the goals of this partnership. The company is also enhancing its DFR Village, a dedicated area for testing, training, and demonstrations, and is organizing the Future Proof UAS summit in Huntsville, Alabama from May 8-10.
